Does it cost anything to start?
No. You create a free account and start teaching. When you outgrow it you can upgrade from inside your account. If you don't, there is nothing to cancel.
Do my students need to buy anything?
Never. Students join through your invite link and use Boofly for free, on any device with a browser.
What do I need for a live lesson?
A browser. The classroom, the whiteboard and the chat all run in the page. Nobody downloads anything, you or your students.
Is there a mobile app?
Boofly installs straight from the browser on Android phones and tablets, iPhone and iPad. In Chrome, choose Install app (or Add to Home screen); in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. It opens full screen with its own icon, keeps itself up to date, and there is nothing to download from an app store.
What subjects can I teach on Boofly?
Any of them. Tutors use it for languages, maths and science, music, exam preparation and coding. Nothing in the classes, calendar, whiteboard or classroom assumes a subject: a maths tutor and a language tutor get the same tools.
What does the AI assistant actually do?
It drafts. Exam questions from a topic you name, a summary of a lesson from what happened in the room, a progress note for one student from their own attendance and marks. You read it, change what you want and decide whether to use it. Nothing it writes reaches a student on its own. It is part of the premium plan.
